Heathrow’s best-known spotting location. When aircraft land on 27L they fly directly overhead just before touchdown. On easterlies, 09R departures climb out towards and over this side.

Renaissance London Heathrow Hotel
A regular Jet Stream location for 27R traffic. Good for 27R arrivals, and a solid option throughout the day when aircraft are departing 27R.

On westerlies, a good morning or evening option for 27R departures — heavies and wide-bodies power up in front of the hotel. On easterlies, arriving 09L aircraft come down in front of you.

Near the start of the runway on Heathrow’s perimeter road, beside the Purple Parking area. One of the choices when aircraft are landing on 27R.

The best proper view of 27L departures is the rooftop, which opens around 3pm. The balcony also watches 27R arrivals from about 3pm, and 09R departures on easterlies. £25 per person minimum spend, charged on arrival.
